Tour & Discussion: Irish Outsiders

6 pm to 8 pm

This program explores the Moores, an Irish immigrant family in post-Civil War New York navigating extreme prejudice and exclusion, alongside massive public displays of pride and inclusion. This is an extended tour which allows time for you to engage in a dialogue that will explore how the Moores' changing status complicated their pursuit of the American Dream. We'll bring the conversation forward to the present to explore additional stories of migration and immigration, and how these same questions impact families today.
