Miracle Grill's 1st Avenue is now closed. However, they still have locations in Manhattan at 415 Bleecker Street (212-924-1900) and in Brooklyn at 222 7th Avenue.
For fifteen years, Lynn Loflin's Miracle Grill has been serving spicy and zesty Mexican fusion food to Lower East Side/East Village denizens and to visitors from other neighborhoods and countries.
One look at the restaurant, located at 112 First Avenue, between 6th and 7th Streets, will tell you that this East Village outpost offers some amazingly eclectic and creative cuisine choices. From the tan colored walls that evoke visions of lazy days spent lounging in a Mexican village, to one of New York's most romantic and breathtaking backyards, the Miracle Grill does not disappoint when it comes to decor and ambiance.
A perfect stop after a late afternoon or evening Tenement tour, go to Miracle grill to drink their refreshing house margarita or to titillate your palate with their fresh fruit margaritas served in strawberry, blood orange or guava flavors.
After your drink, dine on Grilled Pork Chops with Orange- Ancho Chile Recado and Sweet Potato Gratin or a Grilled Portobello Mushroom Fajita with Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas, Guacamole, Roasted Red Pepper Salsa & Caramelized Spanish Onions. Complete the experience and indulge yourself by digging into a flourless chocolate cake (with a little bit of chili in it) paired with some vanilla ice cream.
Go home sated, and realize that the Lower East Side and the East Village offer a plethora of creative, affordable and tasty dining options.
