Love and Black Lives: Pictures Found on a Brooklyn Street

New York Times reporter Annie Correal uncovered the story behind a discarded photo album on a Crown Heights street. Her reporting revealed a vibrant story of family and community in a Brooklyn neighborhood that was once home to many African American families, several who moved North in the Great Migration. Correal comes to share this New York story, along with historian Craig Wilder, author of A Covenant with Color: Race and Social History in Brooklyn, and a panel of community members. Featured books will be for sale with a 15% discount.
